Andrea Pazienza’s Mural,
a work in-waiting

A journey into the story of an extraordinary work, another way to encounter the genius of Andrea Pazienza.
A painting made in just three hours and without any preparatory drawing. Written and directed by Rovero Impiglia, the film explores the little-known story of the monumental mural Paz painted live on May 2, 1987 at the Mostra d’Oltremare in Naples.
Through testimonies and valuable archive material, the documentary reconstructs the birth, oblivion, recovery and enhancement of the work, showing the instinct and mastery of line that made the artist unique.

With the valuable support of Mariella and Michele Pazienza, of the MAXXI – National Museum of 21st Century Arts in Rome, of curators Oscar Glioti and Giulia Ferracci, and of the Mostra d’Oltremare in Naples. Under the patronage of Marche Film Commission and Fondazione Marche Cultura.

The documentary, produced by the City of San Benedetto del Tronto together with the Festival, will have its national premiere onSeptember 11 at 9 p.m., in the Palazzina Azzurra in San Benedetto del Tronto (Ascoli Piceno), as part of the second edition of the CoseDaPaz! Festival, directed by Michael Rocchetti (Maicol&Mirco) and Giulio Troli.
