It is 1975. Nicola de Mattia films a late spring day spent with friends in their new out-of-town students’ house in Bologna, at via Emilia Ponente 223.
Besides de Mattia and Andrea Pazienza, the shots feature Massimo Carafa, Roberto Fratta, Gino Nardella, his former elementary-school classmates, and others too: faces and names we will find again in Le straordinarie avventure di Pentothal.
Andrea does not yet imagine that it is precisely in that place that one of the most important graphic works of Italian comics will take shape.
